Throughout the game, numerous skills are available. Most skills have six levels; untrained, beginner, trained, advanced, expert, master, and experience to level them up can be gained in various ways, including; actions related to the skill, attending the [[Slave School]], paying for training. In return, most skills open up new options for the player, increasing their ability to make more money, and impacting upon scenes in smaller ways. However, some skills either have negative side effects, or are completely detrimental. In these instances the player will either receive the skill as a punishment, or will be paid to gain it. The current levels of the player's skills can be seen within the Skills & Traits sidebar window when playing, and skill level-ups will occur on sleeping.

The experience system implemented within the game sees the player receive experience from various sources, which adds up to increase the level of their skills. Outside of rare circumstances, levelling of skills only happens at night when sleeping, with each skill only being able to level up once within the night, yet unlimited skills can level up at the same time. The skill colours and their importance is displayed below.

* '''Beginner''' - A vague understanding, or very early training level, in a skill.
* '''Trained''' - General competence in a skill, though perhaps without a huge amount of experience.

Depending on the levelling speed difficulty option selected either at character creation or through the options menu in-game, the amount of experience that is required to level up will be different. The 'Normal' skill levelling speed is the default option for play, however, this can be customised either slower or faster as shown in the table below. Any excess experience kept upon levelling up is retained by the player to be used toward the next level.

The general amount of experience the player will gain from a scene is covered in the table below. Many scenes will give the player multiple forms of experience, for example working as a maid might give the player; conversational, cleaning, and cooking experience all at once. In instances where the player gets lots of sources of experience in one scene the player will likely get less experience in each skill to balance that out.

== Core Stats ==
Core stats are the character stats that all characters have, regardless of additional fetishes/options that the player selects for their game.

=== Submission/Dominance ===
The submission/dominance stat is used to determine how players will react to various circumstances, and is on a scale from 100 dominance to 100 submission. In terms of gameplay, submissive players may be unable to resist commands, whilst more dominant players may be unable to follow commands. Other than minorly altering many scenes, the submission/dominance stat also gates certain content. Generally speaking, the submission/dominance stat should frequently change slightly, as submissive/dominant choices will often minorly alter it. However, there are also [[Traits]] which can have a larger impact on this stat, causing the player to gain submission/dominance on a daily basis.

Things gated by the Submission/Dominance stat:

* Players need to be submissive to access the Degradationist Brothel job.
* Players need to be dominant to become Villin's master in her dating path.

=== Femininity/Masculinity ===
That femininity/masculinity stat is used to describe more minor factors of the player's appearance, and is on a scale from 100 masculinity to 100 femininity. Effectively, the femininity/masculinity stat determines minor factors such as the shape of the player's eyes, the shape of the player's eyebrows, how soft their skin is (outside of major skin type changes), etc. It doesn't have a major impact on gameplay, remaining mostly a cosmetic factor.

Things gated by the Femininity/Masculinity stat:

* Players need to be feminine to be allowed to perform the Club B Club Girl job (and the exhibitionist variant of it).
* Players need to be feminine (and to have breasts, a vagina, and no penis) to date Agent Davis.

=== Muscles ===
The muscles stat is partly cosmetic and partly usable by the player, existing on a scale from 0 (weak) to 100 (muscular). The most effective way to raise the muscles stat is through exercise at the Dormitory Gym. Additionally, the muscles stat will slowly degrade over time, requiring regular exercise to maintain it.

Things gated by the Muscles stat:

* Players with a high muscles stat can beat up Agent Gary in the [[Rescue Jess]] quest. Players with too low a muscles stat will instead get a 'Bad Ending'.

=== Weight ===
The weight stat is partly cosmetic and partly intended for integration into the hunger/thirst system, existing on a scale from 0 (underweight) to 100 (overweight). The most effective way to lower the weight stat is through exercise at the Dormitory Gym, whilst the most effective way to increase it is through eating/drinking (especially desserts and anything described as unhealthy). Additionally, the weight stat will slowly degrade over time, meaning that eating regular meals should balance out with the loss as long as the player doesn't eat anything too unhealthy.

=== G.G.P ===
The G.G.P stat is the player's currency within the facility, and is an acronym for Good Girl Points or Good Guy Points depending on the player's gender (or transformation focus). G.G.P are used to purchase; food/drink, clothing, sex toys, services, furniture, etc. They are also used to pay the player's upkeep cost at the end of every day, which, if the player fails to pay they'll be automatically sent to the Auction Ending path. Players are paid for their work in G.G.P, and can also gain G.G.P from certain quests. In the future G.G.P is intended to be usable within the Auction Ending path in various ways to help the player acquire harder to reach endings.

=== Upkeep ===
Upkeep is the amount of G.G.P the player has to pay the facility at the end of each day, which, if they are unable to pay will lead to the player automatically being sent to the Auction Ending path. Various options impact upon the daily player upkeep cost, making it largely tied to the in-game difficulty. After the first week of play, the player will find their upkeep increase by 50 G.G.P.

=== Number Of Complaints ===
The Number Of Complaints stat describes the current punishment level of the player. After reaching over 5 current complaints, upon sleeping the player will be sent to a general punishment 'Bad Ending' (see the [[Ending List]]). There are various ways to gain complaints against the player, including going on walks and trying to escape the facility, causing trouble during the introduction or jobs, or being caught whilst pickpocketing. There are also various ways to lower the number of complaints against player, including quest rewards, or bribing Lianne the Admin.

The general Number Of Complaints stat is independent from any complaints stats within fetish or trainer content.

=== Relationship Scores ===
Relationship Scores are separate for each character (and in some instances factions), and when higher both change and add interactions with the characters involved. Usually the changes in behaviour occur at the 25 and 50 relationship level, which indicate the player is considered a friend, or a close friend, respectively.

=== [[Skills]] ===
Throughout the game, numerous skills are available. Most skills have six levels; untrained, beginner, trained, advanced, expert, master, and experience to level them up can be gained in various ways, including; actions related to the skill, attending the [[Slave School]], paying for training. In return, most skills open up new options for the player, increasing their ability to make more money, and impacting upon scenes in smaller ways. However, some skills either have negative side effects, or are completely detrimental. In these instances the player will either receive the skill as a punishment, or will be paid to gain it. The current levels of the players skills can be seen within the Skills & Traits sidebar window when playing, and skill level-ups will occur on sleeping.

=== [[Traits]] ===
Throughout play, players will sometimes find their circumstances change. This might be through purchasing an upgrade modification, achieving a specific milestone, acquiring a new piece of furniture, or having a negative effect inflicted upon you. Traits are a log of all these small bonuses and penalties the player currently has.

Image issues are sometimes hard to figure out, but these are some of the common issues which cause images not to load:

# Sometimes people forget to unzip the downloaded Zip folders, which stops them from being able to access the image files within the game. To counter this, you need to use a program like 7zip (free) to unzip the folder before playing.
# Image folders get moved. This happens less often, but sometimes people try to rearrange the game, and as a result move the image folder somewhere where it shouldn't be. To deal with this, you just need to re-download the game and unzip it again.
# Mobile devices often can't handle Twine images, as they are generally stored in folder structures (which mobile devices don't really emulate). There are workarounds here, though they are complicated and a bit over my head, as I don't own any mobile devices capable of playing HTML games. Generally, I'd suggest playing the hosted version of the game over on TFGames in such instances, as that bypasses the issue.
# Anti-virus or browser plug-ins can sometimes get nervous about big files like most Twine games have, and might block or delete elements of it. The work around here is to relax the severity of your computer's security, but you need to be careful when doing so still.

Over the course of play, players can sometimes convince or coerce NPC's to live with them. In exchange for letting them live with you and paying their expenses, roommates and slaves will allow you to manage their lives, picking where they sleep, what they spend their days doing, and how they dress. Some might even let you make other options for them, such as the acquirement of modifications, or the exploration of various fetishes. Roommates are generally more picky about the sleeping and job options you set for them, whilst slaves might be unhappy but will put up with more.

For a job/task reward to be gained, a roommate or slave must spend at least two time segments working on it in a row.

== Overview ==
Managing your relationship level with roommates and slaves is generally the most important aspect of keeping them happy. By keeping them happy, they will generally be more willing to sleep in unusual/uncomfortable beds, undertake jobs they aren't normally interested in, and wear outfits they might not normally be willing to do. At the same time, some roommates at low relationship levels maybe refuse certain selections you make, which is why balancing out likes and dislikes often gets you the most out of these characters. Whilst most roommates and slaves have specific things that make them happy or unhappy, there are also a number of general likes and dislikes displayed in the table below.
